After celebrating Thanksgiving Italian style, I’m off to Prague for the holiday weekend!
Kent State is still just doing things right this second half of the semester. The school hosted an awesome Thanksgiving dinner for all of us Tuesday night, renting out an entire restaurant and making sure the menu included all of our Thanksgiving favorites, some with a Tuscan twist. We enjoyed pumpkin gnocchi (TO DIE FOR), turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, and a pumpkin mousse panacotta for dessert. Throw in a couple bottles of wine (which we had to buy for ourselves, booooo) and great company, and it was the perfect evening. I would have never thought I’d make such great friends on this trip, and I’m still in awe of how close everyone in the fashion program has become.
Even though I miss my family, this year I’m thankful for Florence.
